Clearing a Code

[Jeep Hauler]

P2146 Fuel Injector Group 1 Supply Voltage Circuit.



Showed up today with a stumble. Drove another 50 yards and the truck ran normal again. Now the code will not go away. I unhooked the battery for a short period (few minutes, not long enough?) and the code is still there. Truck starts and runs normal. I checked the connectors and all were fine. It was a cold windy day, not hardly any moisture.



This rig is an '05, 3500, auto 4x4 with 125000 miles, stock.



I checked the search function, but it seems everyone else with this code has a few more to go with it and usually a power adder is involved.



Do I need a code reader to clear this code?

You'll have to clear it with a code reader. The check engine light will likely turn off in 3-5 engine starts if the code doesn't continue to occur.
