Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) clicking from trans.

I was working on my tail-lights and had my ignition on but the truck was not running. I heard a clicking noise that sounds to be coming from inside my trans. pan ( automatic trans. ). When I put my ear closer to the pan I could still hear the clicking and also a low humming noise. Anyone have any ideas what it might be?

Probably the just the electronics inside the trans. Haven't heard it on any of mine,but most of the other chrysler trans will do it if you have the key on.
