what are the little "clips" on the injector lines for? they hold nothing but they are vibrating on the lines and seam to be wanting to rub a hole in the lines if i don't do something?

plans are to take them off! but what are they on there for???

They are on there to keep the lines from rubbing together, they have a neoprene type softner where they contact the line itself, when I put my 275's in I only put about half of em back on, it seams they have alot of em on there. :)

these just look like stainless or metal clips with nothing on them. they are rubbing on my injector lines bad! i am going to remove them. there is still the retainers on there to hold the lines so there is no need for these imo. thanks for the reply

Goddard, you may want to re-consider, the psi comming fron the vp44 is very high presure and totaly without them you will get small vibrations that you cannot see, this type of pulsation WILL adventually break your fuel lines at the base of the nut... ... . trust me .

Take one of them off and make sure the softners are in there, mine are blue, if you dont have any then take it to the dealer and make them put new lines WITH the RIGHT stabelizers .

gotta keep those things on, if ya don't the injectors will miss fire diesel or inject too early. This will cause the truck to idle funny. also it can brake the lines over time if they are not on

the blue retainers are there with the clamps to hold the lines. these are metal pieces wrapped around the lines with no padding on them or nothing. 1 on each line i believe. they are wearing into the lines! injectors have not been changed! or the lines taken loose to my knowledge

these things are about 3/4 inch long and look like stainless.

whitmore... ..... are these things supposed to be by the nut at the valve cover? if so i wonder if they have slipped or wore out?

Manufacturer

Cummins uses them for PN#s and nothing more after you get the truck everything changes. So all you have to do is remove them they have no value to your truck/engine except to anoy the !@#$ out of you

pulled a couple of them off and your right, they have numbers on them. they are also going to be off of there because they are wearing into the lines! thanks for the help. you all mite want to check your own.
