Got in my truck last night and started her up and I always take note of the time on the clock, for warmup purposes, and the time went from 11:59 to 11:60

:--) has anyone else had this happen?? I have the upgraded stereo AM/FM/Cass/CD. The clock turned to 12:00 after about 5-10 seconds.

I have an idea. If you have the radio turned on, the station displays for a few seconds on start up, then the display switches to show the time.

Maybe you had the radio tuned to an AM station 1160 and then it switched to the time.

Metric Time

Ken, I think in metric option there are 39. 3 minutes per hour;)

No, no, that's the comversion for inches to meters.

It can't be set to metric time, as there is no 11:00 in metric time. Metric time is defined as:

10 hours per day

100 minutes per hour

100 seconds per minute

Therefore, a metric hour would be 2. 4 standard hours, or 144 standard minutes. A metric minute would be 1. 44 standard minutes, or 86. 4 standard seconds. And a metric second would be 0. 864 standard seconds... :p :D

I think you forgot to correct for the metric day. There are 10 metric days in a week and 10 metric weeks in a month, etc.

I was looking at the radio clock and it was a cool 17 degrees outside temp. I don't know if tempeture has anything to do with or not???And as far as having the radio playing I would reply to that as NOT  because my radio has been on maybe once since I bought the truck,I just can't bring myself to drown out the music of the mighty cummins:D The clock has not went to 11:60 since that night but I know I wasn't seeing things:eek:

Blksheep-

I too have seen this behavior a couple times. No real problems, just acted fun when it rolled over to the next hour. Don't worry, you didn't imagine it! hope this helps,

11:60

naw, it's definitely the muffler bearing going bad. either that or you overfilled it with muffler fluid. backs up into the PCM which screws with the ECM. next thing you know the electric tampon remover activates without warning. ouch!! best fix it NOW!!!
