2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission clock spring

My clock spring went out and dealer says not covered under warranty for 2K's? Anyone else have this problem?

P. S. Some interesting reading about clock springs under search: It sounds, as though, it has been a problem for a few??

I couldn't find anything about in for the 2000's. However if their have been issues with it you may be able to convince them.

I had mine go out on my 2001 and took it to a dealer when I was out of town, visiting family. I had no idea what it was, and when I got the truck back, it was clearly marked as a warranty item, and total cost to me was $0. 00. When I got home, I posted here about it, and lots of people responded that they had just received their recall notice from DC. This was back in Spring 2001, so just about 2 years ago now.
