I searched some previous posts and saw where some people had been buying replacement clocksprings for around $50. Does anyone know the # or names of these dealers? The local dealer wants $202 for this valuable chunk of plastic. Online parts houses still want around $160. Any info would be appreciated.

Try fivestarairbags.com Not sure if they have them but they have bags and can re-set moduels so they might. Service is usually A+ too...

clockspring

My truck is a '98, I don't know if there's a difference between it and a 94, but Rockauto is where I got mine. I think it was around $30. OK. . I took a look, it's listed for a '98 under 'body-interior. Nothing listed for the '94 that I could find.

It's located behind the airbag on the steering wheel and it maintains electrical connections for the airbag, horn, and cruise control as the wheel is turned. It also costs about 6x more on a '94-'97 model truck.
