Where is this hatred coming from?

These were care givers not military, it just makes me sick.



SANAA, Yemen (Reuters) - A gunman shot dead an American doctor and two of her American colleagues at a Baptist mission hospital in Yemen Monday in what Yemeni officials called an "Islamic extremist" attack.



Abed Abdel Razzak Kamel, 30, was arrested and named as the killer by the Interior Ministry. Officials said he had posed as a patient and hoped the killings would bring him closer to God.



A fourth American was wounded in the shooting at the Jibla Baptist hospital in Ebb province, 105 miles south of the capital Sanaa. Yemeni officials, who initially said Kamel was 32, had earlier

also said that all three dead were doctors.



A Yemeni official said Kamel told police he shot them because he believed they were Christian missionaries and he wanted to "cleanse his religion and get closer to God. "

This is an act of cowadrace, and he should die of embarassment.

Extremist muslims are something the world would be better off without. I hope Bush nukes them.

Do you react the same when the Christian extremists bomb abortion clinics or kill doctors that do abortions? They are following their religion just like these Muslim "extremests" do.



Do you react the same when the Isreali Army shells civilian neighborhoods in Palestinian villages?



Do you react the same when the KKK or Arian Nation beat or kill non-whites?



It appears to me that the world wide lack of tolerance is the real problem. If everyone really followed the teachings of their religion, what ever it is, there would be far more tolerance in the world.

We should dump all religion, there has been much more hate brought about from religion than love. Most of the people doing this type of killing are ignorant, have been filled with hate by some idiot with a axe to grind who defines the scriptures the way he wants them to read. Yemen, one of our "Allies", along with Saudi, the people who brought us 9/11... ... .

Yes, I do react the same way when anyone takes innocent lives in the name of some religion, or innocent life for any damn reason. Lack of tolerance and love is the root of if all. It seems to me that in some societies and cultures this lack is tolerance is more common, I hope we can help them.

Being an agnostic I think some of what you say has meaning, However, many people are better for them and on a whole they all try to teach love over hate. There has been millions killed, in the name of racial supremacy, religion, etc and it all sucks.

I believe that killing the unborn is wrong. I also believe that killing abortionists is wrong. How do you justify killing the abortionists?

When asked by an interviewer if she would remain in Yemen after the killings a Southern Baptist Mission member replied, "it's my duty to stay here and convert these people to Christianity. "



Well duh, how do you expect people to react a to group of foreigners that drop into your all Muslim country and try to change your religion in exchange for medical care?



I think the extremist Christians in this country would have done the same thing or worse if a group of Muslims opened up a free hospital in Kansas City.



Though I don't condone the killings I think they had it coming.

Why is it that Christians are the only group left that everyone seems to think can be disparaged in this county? The people running the hospital are Baptist missionaries so anyone who comes to them for care are just going to get brainwashed into becoming Christian I guess? Christians can do no good in the world either. If they try to help someone they are just doing it in order to force them to join their church. Any person who kills an abortion doctor is NOT a Christian, no matter what anyone here thinks. I don't know of any Christians who condone that type of action. Comparing the actions of a few maniacs like that to what missionaries are doing in other countries is quite a stretch. Also I read that some of the people that were served by the hospital in Yemen where the shooting took place actually liked the doctors and personnel there, they were disgusted by what happened too. The fact is that Christians are supposed to try and spread the word to all the corners of the earth. Since the beginning of our religion there have been people that were killed because they did that, I guess it will always be that way.

Seems one of the murdered was a doctor. Was he there to convert muslims to christianity, or to administer aid, medical help and comfort to ailing people WHO WERE ABANDONED BY THEIR GOVERNING POWER? How many muslims have embraced and accepted the other faiths of the world? NONE!

CF, have you ever embraced any religious faith? Have you experienced the warmth, friendship and mutual respect and love which is present in a house of worship? Have you ever sung in a church, or in a church choir? Have you ever experienced a real, face to face meeting with any kind of spiritual experience? Do you really think that there is no higher power? Do you really think that you are anything more than dust without all the aforementioned?

How will my views on capital punishment help you justify killing someone who is doing what the courts have upheld as a legal activity? While I may personally feel that this "legal activity" is not morally right, I have no more right to force this belief on anyone then they have to force their beliefs on me.



Just because abortion happens to be legal, doesn't mean you need to participate. There are many legal activities that I find morally objectionable. That doesn't mean that I need to participate, and I don't. On the other hand, I don't judge others who chose to participate.

Yeap, ol ron, I have. I have also experienced the hypocrites and the give in the name of the Lord thing. I was raised in a religion. The first 13 years of my life were spent in a religion based school. And later in life found the same people who were leaders in this same church justify pedophilia in the priesthood!



The hate generated by the "OUR religion is the only real religion" And the "You can't go to heaven unless you practice OUR religion or give to OUR church". This is what I saw and see. I saw a preacher drive up to my home in a brand new Lincoln, ask me to donate ten percent of my wages to his church. Then when I told him I had a family to support and could not justify a donation just because my wife suddenly found religion. He calls me a heathen! I showed him the door of my humble home and a foot in his a$$!



I practice spirituality every hour of everyday. I do this to survive, I do not need anyone to show me what is right and what is wrong, I know. My higher power is all around me, I do not need some other person to bolster it.
