But I, am very tolerant of things, I am no better than anything or anybody, I do not hate anything either, I believe that some people are called to die for the word of God, if it fits His plan, we are all told that we will eventually die someday, that is the PLAIN truth, as Christians, we are called to help the weak and not to take away from.

Yes Jesus was tempted but it was only that. We are all tempted everyday. Jesus did all things to give glory to His Father. He did throw them out in rage but it was to give God the glory. He never doubted his ablility, He always knew that he was put on Earth to do what he did. He did wander why God was pouring out his wrath on Him like He was. One day God will pour out upon all of us too, and many will die very painfully. But that is all in God's plan and He has that ability.

Bible thumpers scare me. I appreciate that you and yours are praying for me and mine. I too wish you nothing but the best. But that does not mean I need or want to be educated or influenced by your religion. Americans and Christains may be considered Infadels by the Muslim world but I've been around long enough to see that the overall feeling is mutual. There is hypocrisy on both/all sides. I too believe that relgion started out with good intentions but has become a waste due to humans' greed and blind faith. It has become a crutch for people who need somthing in their life to make them feel special or safe. What really erks me are the people that say "just because you've lived your life as a good person does not mean you've got a pass into heaven. You have to BELIEVE" Well I've met plenty of people who "believe" and are pricks too. I just can not comprehend how people can take the Bible literally, it just seems that people need to "believe" in somthing to fill a hole in themselves or so they can explain away the happenings that occur in our daily lives. In my humble opinion, believing in oneself will create more good for mandkind than any group of zealots. I'm probably in the minority but maybe now I can get some affirmative action money for college.

I never met any of the four victims, but...

... this quote comes to mind.

John 15:13... Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

I think it applies to the three dead, and, also to the one wounded, and also to all their unharmed co-workers.

Those people weren't working in a pleasant place. The entire country of Yemen is not a pleasant place. Many of the people, however, are probably OK, with just enough crazed killers among them to make the whole area extremely dangerous for any and all nonMuslims.

Did the people personally "like" or "love" the Yemenis? I suspect they did. Even if my suspicion is incorrect, they did, however, apparently like the idea of attempting to aid some of God's other children.

Did they lead imperfect lives? Most likely. Can a lack of perfection be used as a justification for outright rejection of their religion? Not rationally. If one uses that as a standard, the only religion that should be followed would be one where you find perfect people, or at least where Jesus still walks the earth and provides face to face counsel. Since that's not occuring, except to an exceptional few individuals, the best the rest of the world can do is read and try to learn (ACCURATELY!!) what his teachings were, and then live them.

Can the individual's lack of perfection be used as a justification to reject the individual, and not follow his/her example? Sure, if the missionary has greater behavioral problems than the host community. These people, however, did not get rejected by their host community. They were rejected by one of the local crazed killers. They woke up every morning knowing that they might not see the sunset. They did, indeed lay down their lives for their friends. This happened at the airport when they left their homes here in the States. Only when they get on the plane to return home at the end of their mission time do they pick their lives back up again.

Those three laid it down, and then, while they were busy with something they considered larger and more important than their own lives, their lives were stolen.

That's right. I said stolen. By someone who thought he'd use their lives to increase the value of his own afterlife. No religion that teaches that kind of theft, for that kind of reward, is valid.

That brings to mind another quote:

Luke 6:43... . For a good tree bringeth not corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Good teachings lead to good behavior, and therefore, to good conditions for all concerned. This nation was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. We, Americans have invented the majority of the best technology the world has seen. By and large, we have good conditions for all concerned. As Dnesh D'zouza (sp. ?) observed, "In America even the poor are fat. "

What fruit do we observe in Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, and Atheistic countries? With a few local exceptions, pretty much universally we see poverty, bloodshed, oppression, people who'd rather be dead than continue their existence on this earth. And they invent nothing. Bad teachings lead to bad behavior, and therefore to bad conditions for all concerned. Dnesh D'zouza's from India. He worked in the Reagan White House. He chooses to continue living in these United States. He's seen both sides. I don't know what religion he practices, but, by our fruits, he knows us. So have many others, from many lands. They may or may not want Christianity for themselves, but they do observe that living is better when there are Christians around.

Before you jump in with the "whatabouts", Tim McVeigh was no Christian. Clinic-bombers are not Christians. Once again, "by their fruits shall ye know them"... . rm

A Challenge

To CF and the other lost souls.

Each day take a moment to challenge Jesus to show His Truth to you. Be real. Declare your unbelief and ask Him to prove His existence to you.

I did this when I was 10 yrs. old. It took years before I realized He had been showing Himself to me all along. If you WANT to know Him He will not deny you.

He offers eternal life. Who does not want to live forever in perfect health surrounded by the purest Love?

Feature this:

'Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, nor hath entered into the heart of man, that which my Father hath prepared for them that Love Him. '

What does this mean? It means that Heaven is so wonderful that it is utterly beyond our imaginations.

Would you deny yourselves air to breathe? Would you deny yourselves food to eat? You need them to live don't you?

Jesus said 'I am the bread of life'. If you deny yourselves the bread of life then what can you expect to happen? You die of course.

Sure sounds similar to the 9/11 terrorists seeking eternal life surrounded by virgins... ... . Christianity or Islam? I get them confused sometimes.

I'm willing to bet there are X million muslims that are claiming Mohammed was the one true way just as we are claiming Jesus is the one true way.

baby. driver - Humans are created in God's image, correct? A fetus cannot survive outside the womb w/o external support before X number of weeks (the actual number of weeks isn't relevant). And the normal gestation period to be created in God's image is 9 months. So until a fetus can survive on it's own or it's come to full term is it anything but a parasite? It sounds as if you believe abortion is wrong in all circumstances because life is created at the moment of inception. Is this correct?

I am not a big fan of abortion but I feel it is necessary and should be available to those women that want and/or need it as an option. It really scares me when people feel so strongly that they believe they can impose their wishes/desires by force. Or by killing the people who are providing the abortion service. IMO there is no difference between an abortion sniper and Washington snipers. Both types are corwards.

Preventing pregnancy is the key but face it, it doesn't always happen.

If abortion is outlawed many women will be compelled to seek one from illegal back alley operations or the coat hanger method.

What's better, two deaths or one?

Ignorance will be NO excuse

Nvr fnsh:

I spoke of LOVE, i. e. God is Love. In Heaven there will be No marriage or giving in marriage (sex), virgins notwithstanding.

Humans are NOT created in God's image. Check your facts.

Adam was created in Gods image, and then he fell from grace.

We, however are descended from Cain, Seth, or one of the unnamed children of Adam. We were conceived AFTER sin entered the world, and therefore conceived in sin as opposed to being created in perfection like Adam and later Jesus.

How often is abortion used to protect the woman from mortal danger? Almost never. Almost exclusively it is used as a form of birth control.

TRUE, if conception has taken place you have life. If you want to call it a parasite, who cares? Words change meaning so fast it would make your head spin. Gay used to mean happy-go-lucky. does it mean that now?

Like I said before, if you don't want to go to Heaven, you don't have to.

Here we go.

I really don't consider myself a lost soul. How does anyone know what I believe in? What buisness of anyone elses is it? My soul is in my hands, I will care for it as I see fit.

How does anyone KNOW what image we were created in? Because it is in the bible? The bible is filled with paradox. The old testament says an eye for an eye, yet in the new testament it states turn the cheek. You can take any phrase in the bible and find the other side of it. This is what makes it so easy to interpet to your own needs. Examples of this practice are in the previous posts. I have said it before and say it again, God messed up when he gave us more than the ten comandments.

Abortion is wrong, so is the death penalty. The ten comandments say "Thou shalt not kill!", not "Only kill when you feel like its right!". We all know this in our hearts. In a perfect world all children could go nine months and face there fate. This is not a perfect world. This world is filled with poverty, ignorance, starvation, and cruelty. In most cases a newborn would be abused or even killed if allowed to come into this world. If a mother does not want a child before it is conceived, what makes you think it would be welcome after? I would not allow a abortion in my imediate family, I would adopt the child. The abundance of people that are so strongly preaching anti-abortion wouldn't.

I don't know about Adam being perfect, he fell to temptation, didn't he? And I really think you should read some of the bible that doese'nt fall into what you want to believe. Jesus did have doubts and went into the desert to find truth. He also acted in anger (which was against his teachings) when he threw the money lenders out of the temple. I wonder what he would do if he saw what some of the preachers are doing in the name of the Lord now? I pray for them.

Religion is a plague on the world. its not about love its about MONEY. Call him god jehovah alah what ever there is only one real truth I do not beleive it has been told yet!!! evolution rules!! science proves!!

There is no proof for evolution. Science can not prove evolution. Everything about evolution that has been put to the test of science has failed.

Example: There are no half man half apes walking around plus none have ever been found in the fossil record. They have found some that were passed off as one but later found to be a hoax.

MG

And the fossil record was placed on earth by Satin.

The case for evolution is air tight. All living creatures must have a living parent, if living creatures are different and if simpler forms were around before the more complex forms as proven in the fossil record, then the more complex forms must have come from the simpler forms such as vertebrates from invertebrates. There is no other way of dealing with it reasonably. Of course, you could deny that the layers of the earth represent a succession of long periods of time and claim that the Grand Canyon was created in a day, but this violates scientific observation as much as does the claim that vertebrates appeared one day out of a spontaneous combination of chemicals. The only way to deny it is to add some mythological creature such as Satin to the equation.

A modern example of evolution is the development of antibiotic resistance in bacteria.

science is proved wrong everytime. There can never be found enough evidence. Like I said before, Jesus never sinned. He threw the people out of the temple to GIVE GLORY TO GOD. Anything that is done to truly glorify God is good. The trouble is, we can never do that, because we can't fully please him. Jesus could because he is God. No Adam was not perfect. We as humans sin. PERIOD. I am glad I have faith in Him, I would rather discuss these things to prove right somehow, than to forget about it, and go to Hell. I will never force Religion on anyone, but I will not allow someone to tell me I am wrong when It plainly shows it is true in the Bible written by Prophets of God. There is a such thing as Microevolution. You can watch a cell develop resistance to certain things. But there is no proof of Macroevolution. I will never doubt anyones faith, that is not my Job, But if you doubt what and who Jesus was, than you need to evaluate. Muhammed was a sinner plain and clear. How can he be a saviour? So that is proof that he can not show the way to an all perfect Heaven like Jesus can... I will investigate the eye for an eye talk later...
