Question about front GAWR

OK... . I am SSOOOOOOO over this! I have had this problem with my engine missing (it happened after I changed to the 370's; I put the 215's back in and had the same thing). I found a local independent shop thru a referal. I called and talked with the owner on the phone... he seemed patient and knowlegable. I made an appointment for Saturday AM. I called and reconfirmed the appointment on Friday. I drove an hour down to Northern Cuba and arrived just after 7:30am... I spent quite a while talking with the tech, Raul. He worked for Cummins for 16 years. In the end, he never picked up a tool and told me the truck has plenty of power. . not sure what I was concerned about! I thought that I could at least get my timing adjusted while there and get something accomplished at least. "No, senior... you have to make an appointment for that... . I cant do it today". Wait... I asked them to do it when making my appointment, and put my entire Saturday aside to do this! I am now convinced that there are NO capable diesel mechanics who are willing to work in this entire state!! I will spend my vacation time travelling to an out-of-state TDR vendor to perform work on my truck, instead of spending it with my fiance'!!! So I am asking you, dear members... where should I go? Brian

There is a shop in Georgia that might fit your needs. I cannot find their webpage, but others may help out my short memory.

A bit of a drive, but should help you out of the stumble.

BCFAST,

I checked with a local Cummins shop here in Daytona Beach and the guy said he would be happy to work with you on the fuel system but because he is a Cummins dealer he is bound to the stock injection setting. And he said if you want to calibrate your pump to bring the stock fuel plate with you. He needs two days lead time notice for appointment at their current backlog of work. If your interested, let me know and I'll send you the name and phone number.
