Cloth or leather seats, which are best?

My sig truck's leather seats are, except for the driver's seat, like new. Sweat, dirt, grime, grease, etc, have "yellowed" it some, but it doesn't look too bad. The seats get a rare wipe-down with Meguiars leather wipes. When our SC Baptist Disaster Relief Team (basically a chainsaw unit) went to Kinston, NC, after Hurricane Irene (?) went through, we got caught out in pouring down rain and got soaked a couple of times before we could get back in the truck. When we got out, there was a mud hole full of water in each seat. We would dry it up as best we could, and I wiped it down again with Meguiars when I got back home, and they don't look like it did them any damage. I do have a carport and I use a windshield sun shield in hot weather--(I ain't real fond of getting in a super-heated truck)--which I am sure helped save the leather.

Even though I prefer cloth I will say this about the newer super light colored fabrics: My friend has an 06 with the tan color and when they get wet, like when a kid sits on them in a wet bathing suit, it leaves rings around every wet spot and that stain never goes away.
Too bad they got away from the charcoal stuff - it was the best for hiding stuff.

I have leather in my 2010 Dodge Journey & cloth in the 2002 Ram & I like the cloth seats better even though the leather in the Journey are heated.

I'm one of the odd ones too. I bought my 06 new, it had cloth. A few months later I was in Oklahoma City for a while and had a company there change it out to leather. Custom colors and embrodry logo, 1200$ installed in my Megacab. Most of their leather is sold mail order, for self install.

I prefer cloth for comfort but it seems that Dodge cloth seats are not the best in the world.
