well it goes like this....

I like the cloth because it does not get as hot as the leather in the summer time. Of course it is summer all 365 days of the year here in Texas. Also it's a lot easier to repair cloth it gets ripped.

Way too hot here for leather....

That and I have a work truck. Way easier to keep the cloth cleaned.

Also I hate sticking to the seat and getting my back all sweaty on a hot day.

Although the cloth is a pain to clean dog hairs out of, I think the dog would ruin the leather seats in record time. He'd probably think the leather seats are a big chunk of rawhide and eat them.

On the factory leather interior, the only parts that actually have leather is the seating area on the two front seats. The sides of the front seats, the center console and the entire back seat are plain vinyl.

To me it's not worth the cost. You can get a complete aftermarket thicker front and real rear seat leather installed for the same price. They'll even do the door panels. JMHO

leather

i have leather with heated seats. love 'em. most comfortable vehicle seat i've ever sat in, including the so's Q45. i had aftermarket leather in my last p/u and it wasn't nearly as heavy or durable as the oem in this truck. the smell when new is WONDERFUL. yes, the surfaces are all that are leather, but that is where the wear occurs. the exterior color of the truck also affects how hot the seats get in the summer heat. dark color= more heat. also, get the driver and passenger windows tinted to reduce interior heat buildup in the summer. matter of personal preference!:)

Leather!!!

Leather is better ask any auto detailer... . easier to clean. Ask any

upholsterer... . last longer, dont stain as easy, repairs are just as simple as cloth and again. . easier to clean but it still what you perfer.

Leather for me....

and yes my truck is a work truck... . leather's way easier to get crude oil off than cloth :) The heated seats are nice too-used them once one morning when I was called out to the plant and had to wait an hour for Atco Electric to get the power back on-very comfortable...

So yeah I'd get leather again in a heartbeat.

Leather=YES! My son puked all over the cab! I thought that my new truck was ruined for sure. (less than 5k miles) wiped up the big chunks and cleaned with tuff stuff put the leather treatment on it and you can't tell anything happened. The comfort over cloth... ... love it!

I've got leather in mine too. It's WAY easier to clean up that cloth. Between my 1 1/2 yr old spitting up on the seats, my dog climbing in with dirty feet, myself climbing in with grease on my clothes I'm VERY glad I got leather. It's also a lot easier to get sand off of leather, with cloth seats it becomes permanently embedded - you NEVER get it all out.

I think the clothe is more comfortable. Wanted leather but after test driving trucks wiith leather, decided on cloth, I did see one truck with aftermarket leather that was comfortable. I am stuck with a 97 automobile with HARD leather seats. Had som older Chryslers with great leather seats. bg

Those of us who are 6'5" and taller - cloth is the only option. The manual seats can be redrilled to allow for needed leg room, and they go back further when stock. I did put seat covers on mine, and would do it again, cloth or leather.

I really dont think i will get a truck without leather. Its so easy to clean. My problem is friends spilling any and every type of drink on them, from coffee to beer, it all just wipes off. My seats are dark gray, and the outside is driftwood, and its not bad. I have the windows tinted, but with ac i dont stick too often.

I have cloth and love em. I have never owned a vehicle with leather so I can't honestly say. I would think they would be hot. I have sat down in Grandpappy's truck and it is gray leather and it sits very comfortable. The ram head inscribed in the back by the head rest is nice looking also.

I tend to keep my vehicles forever (still have all but two), so I really need something that is going to last. I have the leather and you can wash literally anything off of it. I have never noticed it to get hot but then again it is the light camel color. Besides, I wanted the heated seats, ahhhh  .

leather

i'm not sure which one of my options added the extra travel on the driver's seat, but that is availabe for you taller guys. i'm 6'1" and i don't even come close to having the seat all the way back:D

Leather of course

I have leather and wouldn't personally get anything else. It is great for the kids cuz it cleans up so easy. Live in the NW so it never gets so hot that it burns but maybe if I lived in the central US I might consider cloth. The leather softens up considerably with use, and after 20,000 miles is like sitting on a huge pillow. :)
