Leather

As been said before, more comfortable (though haven't ridden in the same seat with cloth), easier to maintain and durable.



The 68# mostly yelow lab pooch hasn't hurt the seats in two years. He gets in thru the front when we travel, rides on the fold down console like a cat and turns around in the copilot seat (when it's empty) to get to the rear. Sheds something fierce almost all year round. No problem to clean up like the cloth seats in the Rice car.

I think the leather on a Chrysler product is a total waste of money. Had them on my Grand Chreokee. The question is really "Do you want to pay $1000 for vinyl seats with leather inserts on the front two seats?"

I have the standard (ST) hd vynl. Even if I would have got an SLT I would have opted for the vynl. In no way did I want cloth, too hard to clean, and leather, while nice, will crack someday no matter what.

I have leather, and I'd probably go with it agian. It's a little warm in the summer when I travel to Ea. Wa, and Ea. OR, but the wife really likes the seat warmers in the Fall and Winter!

Leather has the big pluses of being easy to clean and heated. In the summer months I have not found them to be very hot at all. Not like vinyl seats. Down side is that they could use a little more grip on the rear end when you are doing a sports car imitation. I bet with cloth you don't slide around as much when you take a corner a little fast. The seats in the wife's Durango have suede inserts that really hold you in the seat. Best of both worlds.

Next time, leather for sure! When the cloth wears out on my "NO MORE TOYS!!!!!" truck, I'm going to have leather inserts put in.

I had leather in my 97 and it was great--didn't pull my shirt tails out when I sat down in the seat, easy to clean, easy to slide around and put the weenie dog on the back seat(no dog hair caught in the cloth), and no sparks and shocks in cold weather. On our '00, my wife loves the heated seats and the 6 way power adjust passenger seat(part of the charge for the leather upgrade)



Would I buy 'em again? You bet!! Even here in HOT Texas!!

The leather would be easier to clean, but not worth the xtra $$.

My cloth seats are power.

Love the leather seats!!! And this is a work truck. I'm up to my in mud laying phone drops and the denim seat covers from Dodge work great... On fridays the truck gets a bath and the covers go in the wash, back on the truck Monday morning ready to go again, plus when ever I'm not working the leather is there... ... . Pete

I have the leather and I would get it again. After paying $4K for the motor, I figured a little more for leather couldn't hurt.



I can't stand vinyl, and clothing sticks to upholstery (well, the coefficient of friction is very high), which I also can't stand. I'm glad I got leather and if I remember to clean and condition it once or twice a year, it'll last a long time. 4 years and 95K miles and it still looks pretty darn nice.



I might even suggest that leather doesn't seem to absorb odors and such as much as plastic (rich Corinthian vinyl and cloth) seem to.

I like the leather seats. I have the slt+, both front seats are great (power and lumbar support) .



As far a durability my wife's 97 nissan maxima look like new (we have a dog and a 4 yr old).
