cloth to leather in my 05 quad cab??

i was thinking about going from cloth to leather. check this link outhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2002...8QQihZ009QQcategoryZ33702QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem they are 450 plus 20 shipping for for the entire factory seat cover kit. they claim that they make the leather for dodge. i dont know if there is any truth to this, but they do look pretty nice.





my next question is how hard is it to install the covers? i'm pretty machanical but have never tried anything like this. i just dont want to spend almost 500 buck and ruin my seats or rip the new leather trying to get it on. i just want to make sure that this is somthing that i can do myself as otherwise to me it's not worth the money and i'll just stay with the cloth. the stock cloth is like a lint and hair trap though and it's annoying. thanks for your help.

They look nice and price is right. Not sure about their claims of "factory" though. The garage door in the background looks like a residential garage door not one of a good-sized manufacturer. And my 2005 factory leather is a combination leather & suede, and as far as I know that's how they came. I have one single color on the bottom and the suede insert on the back. So, those don't look like MY factory seats, but other years might be different. And those look a little "wrinkly", i. e. not tight fitting.



That being said, if you are happy with the look, and like the price, it might be a great deal.

I just put a set on my 06 2500 QC SRW 4X4 & it took about 6hours to complete it. I also bought my covers off of Ebay $350 all leather. You will need help removing the front seats. Just take your time & work the leather seat covers on slowly.

do these seats have hog rings. they look like they just clip right off but im not sure. ?

I got a set of these seat covers. It took me about 10 hours because I removed all the seats for the install and I have a power drivers seat.



To answer you question about hog rings no it is all j clip (U shaped plastic channel and an insert) and zippers.
