Clunk-like noise during slow right turns (2wd)
I did a search on this with no luck. My stock 2wd has had an issue when making fairly tight turns to the right at less than five miles per hour (like into a parking spot). I'm hearing a clunk or bang noise from the front passenger-side right wheel area. When this happens the noise can be felt through the steering wheel; it seems like something was binding up and is breaking free.
I haven't had time yet to put the front on jackstands and take a first-hand look. Anyone else have a similar problem with their rack-and-pinion steering? The truck has 18k miles with plenty of warranty left.
Thanks!
