My truck has developed a loud clunk when turning sharply at low speeds, parking lots and street corners. When I listen outside with the truck stopped and someone turing the wheel, it doesn't seem to come from the front axle. It's closer to mid truck, hard to tell with the engine running. It did it all day yesterday, getting really bad. I have checked all the axle bolts and joints, they seem tight. Also replaced the left bearing assembly about two months ago. Any ideas what this could be? Thanks.

My 98 12V has been making the same loud CLUNK for months now, no loose parts to be found on the linkage. It really POPs loud, mostly with slow sharp turns to the left. I also would appreciate any help.

I have a 1998 12 valve 4x4 and it had the a clunk when I would turn sharp and slow speeds. I could feel a pop on the drivers side with my left foot next to the cluch. My track bar had some play in it so, I replaced the track bar. The noise went away. I got one from NAPA because the bar comes with a life time guarantee. I drove the truck about 1000 miles and the clunk is back. Napa gave me my money back because they could not get any more track bars. I ordered one from Kragen because they too have a life time guarantee. It has been on my truck for about 500 miles and it starting to clunk. When I get my money back from Kragen I am going to purchase a DT track bar.
