2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Clunk

The sound was snap or pop and the location was the left side near the floorboard. All I had to do was lift my foot off the brake pedal as in pulling away from a stop light and it would pop, put my foot gently on the brake pedal and pop again. The search lasted six months. Yes I checked the shocks, all suspension parts, if it moved I thought I had checked it. Bottom line, the drivers side door hinges needed a good lube job. Yes, I had even tried that earlier but must have used the wrong stuff!
