Clunking while hauling

I noticed when I put anywhere from 1000-2500# in the bed I get alot of clunking noises coming from the rear of the truck when I go over bumps. I already checked for any thing loose and couldn't find anything obvious. So I am wondering if anyone else experiences this also? Thanks guys.

It is probably the overload springs bumping their stops on the frame

I thought so too, you can fell it all through the truck with the riged frame. very anoying and quite loud really.

Easy cure, and not real expensive:

Remove the overload springs and add AirLift bags.

This may not be what your klunk is, but I lived with a klunk in mine for quite a while ( thinking it was my suspension), then one day I was under the truck, and noticed that my spare tire was hanging down a little and would klunk when I would bump it. I tightened it up and Wallah! no more klunk!!!!!
