At almost 95k I belive my clutch is in need of replacement. Looked in TDR issues,- the dealer uses the stock (Luk) clutch parts, a clutch shop in the same town only uses Vulka (or ?) disks, and the Cumnins shop uses? Am looking for advice on brand. Engine is tuned up with TST 240 plate. Don't have the ability to have a lot of repair shops here in eastern Idaho. Kinda leaning toward Dodge service to do the work, but... .

Thanks for any advice

Jim

One of the finest venders ever known for clutches is Southbend, call Peter or do a search , you will find nothing but positive results with happy CTD owners.

I second that on Southbend clutch. If you have any thoughts at all on any more power upgrades go with a SBC. They have bent way over backwards to help me out when they had no obligation to do so at all. many others here have had the same experience with them, great people. Check with a local trans shop for clutch install as the dealer will be much higher I am sure. Most auto trans shops do clutchs too.

My SBC arrived while I was at work, the UPS driver just dropped it inside the fence for my two shepard to eat, the dogs tore the box appart and had the clutch strewn across the yard, I inspected it and found a few tooth holes in the it , first thing I did was make a post about it and Peter offered to replace it for me, I ended up using it ant how but what an offer that was for Peter to make good for someone elses actions, this kind of service is what it is all about these days. SBC ROCKS.
