2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission clutch fan

What would be the proper way to check the clutch fan to determine if working proper? The cold air from the center vent on a 90 degree day will run at about 47-48 degrees at 55-60 mph but at idle on the same day will run 43-44 degrees?

sounds like it's doing something to get it that cool at idle, some systems will drop a few degrees at high speeds due to the compressor cycling where idling it's on mostly constant. a good sign of a working clutch is a occasional chirp at shut down as it slips the belt but that's not law
