has anybody had their clutch fan or idlier pulley on belt replaced on their 03? i have a funny noise from the front when i start up for the first 5 or 10 min, but only when it is cold. sounds like a bearing in the fan assy.

mine does it too sometimes. wouldn't do it when i had it to the dealer the last 2 times:rolleyes: yeah sounds like a bad bearing or something. kinda loud at times

but my harmonic balancer was wobbly so they replaced it.

mine seems to have a little play also. had the parts guy look it up and he said the part number has changed three times since my truck was made. july 03. seems like for a part number to change three times there had to be a lot of failures. think you would read about them on the board.

Hmmm, not sure what you're driving there Kurt but the clutch on my 6-speed doesn't have a fan, however, what I can tell you is the fan for my radiator does have a "fan clutch" :p

Mines been replaced(fan clutch)and I thought the noise came back on a couple of less than 20 f mornings. Was gone in less time than warming up took(5 mins. ) Am keeping an ear to it for now. Noise never went away the first time though !
