Clutch Help

I was wondering if ayone has changed their original clutch? When you changed it did you have the flywheel resurfaced? The reason I ask is the factory repair manual say DO NOT Resurface the flywheel because it has some special surfacing. Please help.

I changed my clutch and used a local quality shop. I was not happy with the clutch or my Getrag trans. I had the flywheel resurfaced but they recommend a different procedure (honing I believe). To make a long story short I finally installed the NV4500HD, a South Bend Con-O clutch and a flywheel with a Kevlar bushing from Peter at South Bend Clutch. Peter was the way to go for me. I would give Peter a call he will be more than happy to help.
