With our recent cold spell here (only 98* the past 2 days) my clutch has that funny feel to it had before it warmed up. How are these things fastened to the firewall, don't see any nuts or bolts, is it just attached through the pushrod on the pedal? Also, where do you guys recommend getttting the replacement set up, dealer or elsewhere? We do replace everything at once, correct?

They twist and lock to hold them onto the fire wall

the gen 2s bolt on

You can go to napa auto parts and get replacement parts but the stock setups come with both peices and are easier to bleed since there pre bled and suppose ofly ready to go

then on the clutch pedal there is a coter pin to disconect the rod

you can get a hydrolic upgrade from Southbend clutch, i put one on mine when i installed my new clutch.

I got the heavy duty one from South Bend also. It's for a second gen but it twists in the same way. All I did was switch out the shaft from my pedal with the adjustable one that it comes with. Works great to 4500 rpms. :D

Are you talking about one for your 1998? if so the SB product# is HYD-X-1. 50 go to their website and take a look. I just read the year of your first truck in your info line. Sorry. I put one on my 2004. 5

Ordered in a new set up from the ... . you know what. . today, be in tomorrow, hopefully installed this weekend.
