I am ready to upgrade my clutch/pressure plate and am interested in suggestions and actual results. My dealer suggested centerforce, but after doing a search last night it would appear that is not the correct choice. I pull a large 5th wheel, 13,000 #. Thanks

If you are going to bomb you truck you should go with a clutch from southbend they have alot of clutches for different aplications. Talk to peter he is really good at telling you what you need for your application.

Sick ram has a point... to give you an acceptable answer to your question we need to know your needs... . my 04 with 100K just got a new clutch... the friction was fine but the hub in the old disc and the pilot bearing were shot... I posted photos of the upgrades on this board about 2 weeks ago... . I think they were "flywheel upgrade" and "clutch disc failure"

Since I pull up to 20K of trailer weight with my truck, and I don't intend to upgrade the HP I choose a clutch and disc that gives me a little harder pedal but the disc is designed for 50% more torque load than the OE disc... . this means that it will hold up where the OE disc failed... and of course we put a real pilot bearing instead of the needle bearing... .

Hope this has helped...

I have the Bully Dog downloader, monitor, Afe ,5"exhaust. Don't know if I will go any further. I'm a power junky so more than likely it won't stop there. I run empty or pull a small trailer 80% of the time. When I do pull it is heavy, around 13,000 pounds. I have seen where guys are having trouble with the stock clutch slipping under hard acceleration. I would like to fix it before it happens. Thanks

My stock clutch started slipping and all I had was the volumizer. It was slipping so bad I had to replace at 30,000 miles. I replaced with a Southbend and am very happy so far after 5,000 miles. I'm going to upload the BD downloader next week, but based on the horsepower/torque and what my new clutch is rated at, it should still hold.
