Hey all,

This sunday, I will be installing a SBC-MU-1947ConFE in my 2005 CTD. I was just wondering if there were any specialty tools needed to do this install. I would like to have them available prior to the install. I have a lift and a hydraulic transmission jack. Just wanted some insight and maybe a little advice if anyone has some. Maybe an estimate on the install time. Do I need to drive differently after the install for a given amount of time or mileage, or not?

the main things to remember are, take the shift tower out before raising the vehicle, then the stock flywheel unbolts like a converter. make sure all of the new surfaces are clean before reinstalling the new unit. everything else is supplied and straight forward. the only tool i would say to have on hand that aren't normal is a set of inverted torx sockets, for the shift tower. if you have any other questions feel free to call 240-421-3363

RobertP, You know anybody in VA that you would recommend to do a clutch install? I keep getting the "Yeah, we could probably do it".

also after installing the hyd master cylinder connect the hoses prior to installing the slave cylinder, trust me I learned the hard way... #@$%!
