Ok this is weid

Repro steps

#1 Hook up trailer to truck, say 16K + total combined weight.

#2 Put truck in 2nd gear, or any gear to high if you are rolling, say throught a corner or stop light or you just didnt' shift down when you needed to. Anyways put truck in 2nd gear when stoped.

#3 Start to let the clutch out, relizing that you are in the wrong gear you press the clutch back in... .

Issue

Clutch pedel is really really hard to press in, really really hard. and letting it out in the correct gear makes it even a heavier pedel. It feels like there is some sort of binding going on, but not really sure how?

temp fix,

pump the clutch 5 or so times out of gear, and the pedle returns to normal.

Any ideas?

Are they hydraulic actuated clutch systems? Perhaps you're low on fluid - almost sounds like a brake system with air in it.

Just a thought.

My first '06 would clatter (dmf) in those conditions, then the clutch pedal would go almost to the floor and not come up but maybe an inch or two for the next couple shifts, then it was fine again. I thought I was going to be stranded in a brand new truck the first copule times it happened. I was more careful with my shifting after that, as I am in my new '06. Hasn't happened yet in this truck, although I've rattled the flywheel a time or two.

I assume its hydrolic, maybe I shouldn't but I dont' think that would be part of the issues seeing as its more dependent on the load to the engine- and clutch disk. But I will check to make sure I have fluid. Thanks
