My clutch pedal has engaged very high ever since I have owned this truck. The clutch has never slipped but it has always worried me a little due to where it engages and it makes it very hard for other people to drive the truck. I would say that the clutch begins to engage in the last 1. 5" of pedal travel and is fully engaged with less than 1" of travel left.
When I bought the truck, it had a stock clutch in it with very high miles so I had mass diesel put a new clutch in it and the pedal position did not change at all. This leads me to believe that the clutch is fine and something else is wrong.
Does this sound like I need to simply replace the hydraulic linkage? If so, is there an adjustable one available? Or does it sound like I have something else going on? I have never played with a hydraulic linkage before but I have decided that it will be worth the effort to get it right.
