Clutch master cylinder

Has anybody lubed theirs yet? Mine clutch started to creak and is no longer a smooth motion while depressing. I've lubed the clutch linkage under the dash with permatex anti-seze which has help 100%, but the plunger is still very stiff and jerky when depressing. It has a snap ring that I'm hesitant on removing for fear of not being able to reinstall due to pressure behind plunger. Service manual says to lube the master cylinder plunger but does not say how.

please someone tell us how. my clutch pedal is driving me nuts and it is not the linkage. it squeaks and grinds all the time.
