Has anyone on now changed the clutch master and slave? I just did mine and the pedal is down at the floor when it engages. The set came from NAPA and the slave has a strap that retains the plunger. I prefilled the slave is their instruction dictated and reconnected the straps. When I removed the old one the strap was MIA. What I'm is wondering is once installed should the strap(s) be cut. One would think that the straps would limit the travel of the plunger and at least initially make it harder to get the system completely filled with fluid. The instructions say the the straps should stay to keep things from rattling. With the plunger in the socket I don't see what would rattle and I haven't heard anything in 112K.

So what do you think?

My lovely assistant just came home and I just checked the travelof the slave plunger. the straps aren't bottoming out yet but will if I can get the master filled. Any ideas on getting the master filled?
