The real fix is to pull the shaft that the clutch and brake pedals pivot on. The nylon bushings are probably worn or at least dry. I tried different types of spray lubes, etc. and didn't cure mine until I finally pulled it all apart, cleaned out the old dry grease, and coated everything with a thin layer of synthetic grease before reassembly.
If you do end up taking it apart, be forewarned that it is somewhat of a pain, and it doesn't come apart exactly like the factory service manual says (at least mine didn't). It would make sense just to put new bushings in when you do it.
I can give you more info if you want. Hopefully you can find a good spray lube that will take care of the problem for more than a couple weeks/months.
