I have noticed that you have to push the clutch ALL the way in now to get the engine to crank. I also can hear a little poping noise from the switch that goes around the clutch pedal to clutch master rod. Nothing looks adjustable. I also saw that there is a plastic piece that looks like it should cover the back of the clutch master cylinder that is floating on the clutch pedal to master rod. Any one out there know what is wrong?? thanks.

I just replaced the clutch interlock switch on my 2004. I too found the plastic disc free floating on the clutch rod . I put a thin coat of rtv on the back of the disc and stuck it back in the end of the clutch master . The same for the foam washer. The new switch still requires that the pedal be pushed to the floor. The sliding lock for the slot in the switch requires patience to get right.

Clutch Safety lockout

Had the same thing happen on my '99. I just took a straight pin and stuck it through both wires going to the switch then taped it up. Three years later it was still there when I traded it. Yep, I know it didn't have the govt. mandated safety lockout, but I learned in about 1955 not to try to start a vehicle with out pushing in the clutch. Oo. Oo.

I considered bypassing it but I am one of those guys that better have it hooked up!
