i had my clutch master cylinder and slave replace the other day because it squeeked so much. got the truck back, took about 1. 5 hours and now the pedal goes nice easy until the clutch is completely disenaged then the last inch or two or travel in the pedal the pedal gets harder to push, almost like is binding. i am so mad, the dealer said it is normal and too drive. my other pedal was not like that , is just make noice. one problem to the next. i do not see how the tech could have did anything wrong , when i got home i took the master clyinder assy out myself and installed it. it looks like the push rod binds when it gets pressed all way in. could he have done something wrong, should i have them order another one? sorry long post, just makes me mad

I just had my clutch cyl replaced because it was binding at the top (clutch engaged) of travel. The first go-around of course they said no trouble found and all of that nonsense. I think their first assumption is "customer is imagining things".



Anyway, I had to get the service manager inside my truck to operate the clutch exactly the way I did, in order to repeat the problem. I was succesful in getting him to feel the problem. He then suggested that we look at a new truck on the lot and of course it didn't behave that way. He was convinced, and ordered the mechanics to perform the repair.



I find that you have to play patience with these guys. you have to re-create the exact problem in a repeatable way with such precision and clarity that a monkey could re-produce the problem.



I suggest you go through something like what I did. A/B comparisons is just about the only language these guys understand.
