Anyone's clutch pedal ever feel "creaky" or a little "notchy" when releasing it slowly?

yep, sometimes it is... i give it a shot of lube inside the cab up where it goes through the firewall when it starts up. . usually goes around 6months before it needs respraying

I had noise everytime pushing in the clutch pedal.

I tried this and it worked great ! THANKS

No noise.

There is a little ring you can slide back over the rod to get the spray right to the fire wall.

I'll have to try this too... mine feels like metal on metal sometimes...

What kind of lube are you using, I have tried WD-40 and also a spray lube with Teflon and I still have the creak. It is starting to get very annoying, to the point now that I here it making noise, not just feeling it.

Thanks,

Joe

Don't mess around with those sprays. The sprays seem to not stay on long. Just apply some grease (whatever you have in your grease gun). Apply as much as I can by moving the clutch pedal in and out and then keep smearing. Almost like "packing" it with grease. Be sure to pull back that little rubber piece so you are packing as close to the firewall as possible.

i may have to try this. has anyone else experienced a very stiff clutch pedal every once and a while. mostly after running very hard in higher gears. the pedal gets very stiff almost to where i cant push it in. once i force it in it will act normal for a while and then do it all over again. very intermittent.

I would like to know what it is rubbing on. The pedal and hinge point is plastic. The shaft is metal. I took the pedal off. I used a small socket to remove the pin. I was afraid to pull the shaft out of the hydraulic cylinder. My spray lube did not last at all. Soon as I can find grease compatable with plastic I will lube the hinge point also.

Yep, happens to me all the time. When this occurs, the clutch has been slipping, becomes very hot, and kindof "glues" itself to the flywheel. It takes several pumps of the clutch pedal to break it loose. Turn your chips down, and it will go away. Mine's been like this for 3 months now, and is still holding in there so far... still saving for a good double disc!!!

thats not good i cant afford a clutch right now. i guess i will back my box from extreme to performance and see if i can make till x-mas :{

My clutch pedal was squeeky and would stick when you released it. It got to the point it was difficult to control, (no fine motion or smooth release). Had slave cylinder replaced twice, once under warranty and the other time just about 1500 miles ago. It seems the slave cylinder is not a quality product anymore since they have started making them out of plastic.

So, you may want to check your slave cylinder on your clutch. It may not be the clutch at all.

Cost was a bit over $400. 00

I've had the "creaky" pedal and also when it sticks and "pops" up against the bottom of your foot. Two slave cylinders replaced (under warranty) in the first 20,000 miles and now it's happening again at 22,000!!?? The spray lube idea seems to work for a couple of days then goes away..... maybe I'll try the grease theory. Is there anyone who makes a better part to replace the plastic junk?
