what is the stock clutch size for the 1990? I've been offered clutches any where from 12 1/4 - 13" Blumenthal has the factory 13" kit for $475. that is the one I'm seriously considering. but can I put in a 13" con O? and where is the best place to order that? my mod list is short but distinguished, POD's, 16 cm HX-35/40 hybrid or dodgezilla, 34" 19. 5s, banks intercooler, BD X-MONITOR . so about 250-300hp and some where inthe neiborhood of 600ft Ibs I believe?pulling around 10K for know but upwards of 20 in the future.

Is your stock clutch slipping? Or is this just preventive maintenance, to prevent being stranded in Elsworth, KS (I-70, ~mile 220) at 1:30 AM? (dont ask, it was a Mitsubishi). The stock clutch is good for 750lb-ft or better, I think. Mine has 250K on it, and is holding just fine, though I am more in the 600lb-ft range right now. I'd get the thickest (in terms of diameter and curface area, not lining thickness) clutch I could get. I've heard good things about South Bend Clutch.

I have been grossed at 23K and had no slippage, going 70mph in the hills of western KS and eastern CO. But that was on a 93, with only 155K at the time.

Stock 'Sachs' clutch on 89-93 is 13". When the day arises where I need a clutch, from reading on this site, I plan on calling SBC. I suggest you upgrade instead of replacing with stock. If you were 'stock' then the Sachs would be a good replacement for a worn clutch were a PO thought it was a foot rest, but since you have upgraded your HP and torque, I would go with the SBC.

well then with the sbc will the 13" fit without tweekage? or am I going to need to change a bunch of stuff over? any where recomended to buy them?thanks a bunch

Look at sig. I am running Peters SBC CON-O (12 1/4)

and I have never been happier. It's rated to 400 HP so I still have a little ways to go.
