Clutch question?

This has most likely been asked a million times, but I couldn't find anything doing a search.
I'm at the point that I need to replace the clutch in my 2007.5. It has been fully deleted running a 4" exhaust and a PPEI EFI Live tuner at the 10 hp (stock) setting with no intentions of going any hotter. We pull a 29 ft fifth wheel a few times a year, the truck is mostly a daily drive for my wife to work with a 30 mile round trip.
I am looking at the 425 hp south bend kit that is offered by a number of vendors, would this be a good choice? Does the pilot bearing usually come with these kits, I've seen the list of what is included in the kit but ahve not seen it mentioned.

Suggest giving SouthBend a call and tell them your plans for the truck and they won't steer you wrong at all.

I had contacted SouthBend and they suggested the SDD3250-GK-ORG, Thoroughbred suggested the SDD3250-GK. SB said the organic only version would to be easier to live with, not as grabby as the version with the ceramic on the inner faces.
So I'll be ordering the SDD3250-GK-ORG. Thoroughbred has both versions at the same price.

If your only 10HP above stock power and no future increases in HP expected, why would you/they recommend such an aggressive clutch. Look at my signature, I have the DD3250 and love it for the reasons I need it, but if I could run a single disk clutch I would. They are noisy and cause more transmission noise. Expect to change the oil to a synthetic 50wt transmission fluid.

I believe the reason is that the truck is deleted, at least that is the way I took their responses.

Okay with what is done to your truck then I would go with the part number SDD3250-GK-ORG this should do and act like a stock clutch for smooth engaging and towing as well . thanks have a nice day

Since the truck is deleted, I truly do not suggest going with a single disc. They just aren’t enough to hold up to the truck even with that low of a tune-especially if you ever tow. I would only suggest going with one of their Street Double Disc clutches: http://www.thoroughbreddiesel.com/south-bend/cummins-6.7L-street-double.htm The SDD3250-GK is my recommendation.

I ended up going with the South Bend SDD3250-GK, from Thoroughbred. Also replaced the automatic transmission fluid with a mix of 1 gallon of Mobil Delvac 50 Synthetic 50 wt manual transmission fluid and 3 quarts of Amsoil 5W30 synchromesh.
All seems well at present, but our could weather is over here in southern Indiana until this Fall.
