I got a 96 with 4 wheel drive and about 67,000 miles I lost 5th gear and just got my transmission back after having the upgraded shaft from standard transmission installed. I got the centerforce clutch since i had the transmission out anyway. But now I'm pretty sure that the flywheel is the bimetalic type (at least thats what i heard) since you cant cut them and I don't want to lay out another 500 bucks can I just use the new clutch or should I leave the old one in until I feel like spending money for a new flywheel?

I believe my service manual says not to turn it. I had it turned anyway and I don't notice any problems. I am not sure if I got this out of the manual or where but, but supposedly the face has a slight contour to it to help eliminate chatter or something. If it is bad I would surface it.

I had mine cut.
