I want to bypass my clutch safty switch so I can lean in and start the truck. There are two wires coming out from the clutch pedal at the firewall. I assume this is it, so all I need to to do is splice in and run them to a switch. Any one know for sure?

Thanx

if you clip one wire, it will not start, if you jumper both together it will start...

i've got a switch inline to open the circuit as a home brew anti start/theaft switch

See TDR #46, p. 40. Two wires come out of a cylinder around the clutch rod that goes through the firewall. The wires go to a connector clipped to the pedal bracket.

I guess no one needs to tell you how dangerous that can be. I've seen a 2nd generation at idle bull doze its way through a shop once because of this.

insurance

Sure, but isn't that why we all pay such wonderfully high insurance payments? Whats the fun of paying so much if you can't use it once in a while. :-laf

I am so sick of all this safety s----. The ding-ding -ding of the seal belt warning, the interior light that come on all the time. the clutch petal thingy, but the biggest pos are those ugly seat belt labels on the sun visors!!!!

lol i take my middle seltbelt and plug it in often to shut mine up for times when I don't want my seat belt on and need to get in and out often,,problem is we protect the stupid from themselves and let them breed. Oh well, more work to cops and firemen.

Wasnt it Shakespeare who said something like "the first thing we do, lets kill all the lawyers. " Rest assured Dodge doesn't spend money on the ding ding ding and warning light stuff just to annoy us.

I can imagine its 5 a. m. You got home late night before after plowing snow for 8 hours in your 4x4 diesel. Sip that coffee, punch your remote start, another sip of old joe and then notice a dark shadow heading for the neighbors house. Or worse yet YOUR house! Or WORSE. I've had one go through a bay with tool boxes, work benches and almost a man in front of it at idle with no hint of bogging down or bogging and killing the engine. A few forums won't allow any one to post about removing EMISSIONS releated items(cat etc). I think the safety items are more important

Seatbelt dinger shutoff

Pages 380 + 381 of your owner’s manual give you the required lubricant info. Page 351 gives you the recommended fluid level’s for the front and rear diff’s. Pages 43 + 44 explain how to turn off the seat reminder chime. I turned mine off because it was driving me crazy when moving the truck around the house. For lubricating grease for the ball joints see page 356. :)

Possible add

I tried to make it that far in my manual, but alas, i did not last, may be suffering from AADD or some other trendy disorder. Oo. I did however manage to make it through installing my switch, with 3 positions, anti-theft,normal, and horrible unsafe dangerous to young children and old alike. Can't wait to get rid of the dinging. :D

Great I will turn of that stinking dinging. Now I need help with peeling off the obnoxious/ugly decal on sun visors?? Can you remove them with out doing great harm to material??

doubt that, but I bet you can find many other much more obnoxious or offensive stickers to put over them, perhaps one with safety in a crossed out circle... oooopppssss what have I said
