I have a 02 with edge ez, 4 inch mbrp, k&n air intake. I would like to

up grade turbo, injectors, and exhaust manifold. I plan on light towing

with the truck for now, also has 6 speed trans. I m thinking of rv 275's

edge bb turbo, and bd exhaust man. Is that to much for the stock clutch.

thanks for your idea's!

thanks dregs

Check into a HTT turbo and exhaust manifold and a good set of injectors F1 mach 1. 6s. With all parts you should be 340-360hp range a SBC MU 1947 Con o would drive great also South Bend has new prices.

You're not going to need a turbo upgade with small injectors like the RV 275s or Mach 1. 6s. My EGTs never got over 1050* with an EZ and 1. 6s. But yes, your clutch will be slipping with 1. 6s and an EZ if you get out there and start hot rodding it. Just running the EZ with 275s will probably be pushing it - it just depends on how you drive it. If you treat the stocker right, you should still be able to tow with it, but it's hard not to stomp on it every now and then with the new power.

Definitely check with Olee Poole on a South Bend clutch. He'll set you up right.

Several years ago I had a set of DD1's in my truck with a edge comp and the stock clutch held as long as you didn't turn the comp up to 4 or 5. I think your stock clutch will be fine and you won't need a turbo upgrade either. Heavy Hauler is right, I can't believe how much cheaper I can get a South Bend clutch for now compared to when I bought it.

Just an EZ slipped my stock clutch. No towing. No injectors. Replaced it with a Centerforce dual friction, tow 10K+ with injectors and no problems.

Just looked at the new SBC prices on OPoole's website. If I could have got a Con OFE for the price of my Centerforce I would have went with it.

thanks guys for all the info, If I just want a different turbo for the truck would

you still look to htt for it, preirs has a better than stock hx35. I 've heard that

FI injectors owners are a little hard to deal with if the customer doesn't like the

product results? What is the word on dd's injectors?

I had some DD Jammer 3's and they ran great. I just upgraded for more fuel! If you don't mind the lope that they create they're great injectors. Good luck.

I don't think there's any such thing as a bad result from an F1 injector.  But if there ever was, I can guarantee you that Don M deals with the 4 best vendors in the United States and they will all bend over backwards to help you out if you ever had a problem, which you won't. ;)

I've said this a hundred times before, but an F1 injector will run cooler and more efficiently (less smoke) than an comparable injector from the competition. Member Justin Hohn reported much less smoke and better drivability from a Mach 4 (150HP) over his much smaller DD2s (80HP?).

There's a long thread that he started about his experience with the injector swap on here somewhere.
