Has anyone heard of or using a valair inc clucth. I have recently put 300h injectors and high flow dvs in my 95. I also have a tst #6 fuel plate moved all the forward and I now desperately need a clucth. The clucth in it now is a hays supertruck clucth the only reason i put it in was that I swapd the automatic for a 5sp.

Welcome T!

I have heard of Valair but have no experience with them. Who I do have experience with is SBC. I currently am running the 12" Con-O. It's been a great clutch and Peter and the gang at SBC have stood behind it even when they didn't have to. I also did the Auto>Manual conversion. When I need another clutch it will be a 13" from SBC. :D

I also just installed an SBC Mu-13-1. 25 Con O in my 97. It is the 13 in clutch with flywheel upgrade for my 1. 25 input shaft. I also recommend SBC. Peter recommended the Con O for me but if you go above 350 HP you'll want a Con OFE or FE.

BigPapa I seen that u did ur own fuel plate grind. I am wanting to grind my stock plate so that I can get more fuel than the #6 plate is putting out. Is there any references to go off of.

Ceramic isnt the way to go, Feramic is. I have a 13" Cera-Metallic in mine, and its ok, but I wish I would have just gone with the Feramic FE from south bend (price was a factor when I got my cera). Cermaic is real grabby.

Ive heard of valair and know a few guys that run them with success... but my money goes to South Bend from now on. I wont even consider any other clutch but theirs again!!!

Anyway back to clucthes I am planning on doing alot more to my truck. Does south bend have ceramic clucthes in 13in.
Here is SBC website.

Check it out and its best to talk to them first. They will recommend the best clutch for you. You might consider their master/slave sealed Hydraulic setup too. I had a leak so I replaced the rear crank seal and front transmission input seal. Also replaced the fork pivot spring and pivot ball stud. Good time to replace transmission and transfer case fluids too.
