Does anyone know any company that o-rings your heads, and will port the heads? Would porting a 3gen head cause any computer issues with the sensors, because of the higher airflow? Is o-ringing the head sufficent for running higher boost levels higher or would the block be better:confused:

Be careful before you O ring that 03 head.

The 03's and above use a different type of headgasket that might not be compatible with an O ring setup.

How much boost? The stock gasket may be fine. Also, porting is more complicated because just getting flow on a flow bench is not what you need. If you do this stuff now, expect to be the pioneer aka guinea pig who may have to buy stuff over and over until the R&D is finished.

You might want to read about project sidewinder at bankspower.com They did a lot of things ($) with that Cummins that might offer some source of info. Been a while since I read it but I believe they ported it among other things.

Actually, One of the improvements made to the cummins 600 over the "old" 555 is "Revised intake ports in cylinder head. "
