Bio in the COLD ???

Power Service Arctic Express

I read (somewhere) about diesel engines that burn diesel and natural gas simultaneously.

I am NOT interested in propane, just compressed natural gas (CNG).

Does anyone have info on CNG installations for the Cummins, such as the name of a company that does conversions? Contact ifo?

It would be a good way to go for me.

By the way, were running low on threads titled "Biodiesel"! :D (Sorry).

Thanks guys,

Greg

If you find somthing post a link please.

I was thinking of making a homemade set up like some do with propane , to see it I could increase my MPG not looking for power or complete converson.

I did see in this sight a person that had 2 busses with cummins that were desined to run on straite CNG.

can't help you with info but can tell you that it does work ...

i used to work for an oil and gas company named Eastern American Energy in WV and they ran their big trucks on CNG and Diesel and loved it ...

i put 250k miles on a 89ish ford bronco with a 5. 0 ... had to start it on gasoline, hit the switch and straight CNG ... oil stayed clean ... no fumes in the garage ... good idea

I did find a company in Salt Lake City that says a CNG conversion is coming soon for the electronic engines, but not for my mechanical injection. Bummer. One more reason to splurge on a new one.

If someone wants the name of the comapny in SLC I could dig it up I think.
