Question about using paint to resize pics for posts and rigs

Was watching the History channel last night witch had a show on the history of trucks. They said in 1931 Clessil Cummins drove coast to coast in a truck with his new Cummins diesel engine on a mere $11. 22

Man, I sure miss the good old days.

I think I could do it for $1100. 22!

I wonder if my son will look back on his dad and say, "I remember when dad could run on fossil fuel coast to coast on just $1100. 22! He had to carry his cell phone around with him, and he had to stay on earth for his vacations!"

Rotary phones were around when I was a kid and now a lot of 6th graders run around with the newest cell phones and choose a ringer that adults can't hear!

For the newborn's in this world, we're in the good old days right now.

Damn, your making me feel old. :{

When I came to Arizona in 1971 the service stations would have gasoline wars, full serve 21cents a gallon and a set of drinking glasses. Wonder what diesel was going for?

I can remember when phone numbers started with words like "Evergreen". I used to call my Aunt (lived around 10 miles away) and the operator would answer asking who you wanted to talk to. How about party lines? I never experenced one but I used to repair the citcuit packs for them, still some being used in the outback of PA. Back in them days the phone company owned our phone, you just rented it.

My folks were in SE Ia when I was born. They still had a party line 'til around '78 or '79, I think it was.

We still had a rotary phone in my boss' dad's shop, til about a year or so ago when it died.

Whats really sad, is the best days of the Diesel truck was early 98, its been down hill ever since.

1998 was our 1970, in the muscle car era. P-Pump 12 valve = 426 HEMI.

VP-44 =smog choked small blocks.

Common rail = smog choked K-cars.

ROTFLMAO!
