I walked into the local eatery/supermarket yesterday to buy some juice, maybe it was the flu I had that prompted me to do this. I turned to the crowd of snackers and gossipers ( 12-15 of them ) and asked in a voice that could be heard, "All those who love freedom and want it to stay that way raise their hands?" 100% arms went up! Then I said " All in favor of protecting freedom by taking care of the bad guys right now before it's too late raise their hands?" Notta one had the guts. Then I mumbled " that's what I thought" and split.
Now I know that some of you might sat that my tact and timming of these Qs were a trap, but were they? Granted, I was in the organic crowd of folks with $3,000 mountain bikes on top of Toyota Tacomas, they just got back from a world adventure burning jet fuel like it was there to burn anyways, so why not attitude.
I call these type of people coattail riders for good reasons. They have the nerve to say GWB is just going to war for the oil and other stupid s#!t like that. How soon they forget the burning buildings and 9/11, like that was the end of their plan for us, come on. These NIMBYS, and thousands of others, need to reread their history and get it togeather.
I'll rant more later if I can recall exactly what I wanted to say, sometimes I loose my train of thought. But basically, I do believe in freedom, I also believe that sometimes there is a price to pay for it.
