Am looking for opinions of those who own/use this radio. Have read all the web sites, but am wondering if speaker in handset overcomes the cab noise an do the weather-bands have an "alert" warning (loud squeal when NOAA issues a weather warning)? This alert feature is on my current Cobra 29WX LTD and I kinda like it #ad

Would like to use current radio with Mike Brolins mount, but mike cord exits left, not front. Too tight a fit on driver seat with Mike's mount (bummer) #ad
Would be awsome with front mounted mike though! Have possible buyer for 29 WX LTD and am considering the 75 WX ST. All responses appreciated.

David, though the shop I work in sells the 75 I don't remember off hand if it has the alert. Check your book if you have one and see if it says weather channels plus alert.
The volume does turn up fairly loud be the speaker being so small will wear out faster.
you might think about keeping the 29, thats a very good radio. Regards Pete

Come on Pete, theres SO much to do here in the midwest!

You know you want to! #ad

Do you just work at a CB shop or do you own it? Just wondering... . I know where I'll be buying my equipment from when I get around to it.

David,
I was considering the Cobra 75 WX ST CB radio also. After seeing and handling one I felt that all the controls in the mic were kinda cumbersome for my big hands. I don't remember if it had the emergency weather alert. Another thing that I considered was that the stock power was about all you would get out of the Cobra 75. I decided to get a Uniden PC78LTW which has the weather alert and 10 weather channels. I had it Peaked to a swing of 28 watts. I also bought a Michael Brolin CB mount which is a great mount. Do a search under CB mount or Michael Brolin to see it.

Another note is that the quality of Cobra is not what it use to be. Uniden makes all of it's radio and is the top CB manufacture around.

Hope this helps. Of course this is just my opinion, for what it's worth.

Kat, how far is it to the nearest ocean?? You say just a couple of blocks!! #ad

No I don't own it Kat that would be to much like work and I would get a rash or something #ad
, Anyway I just fill in a couple of days a week cause CB's are one of my longtime hobbies. I enjoy the set up and tuning of the vehicle. Setting the standing wave and Knowing weather my coax is the right length or not and what the velocity factor really does. Anyway we will get you 10-8 somehow. If you need something let me know and I'll see how cheap I can get things out of the boss, oh yeah the bike shop next door is an UPS shipper so that helps alot. See ya,Pete
