It's a small world afterall...

Chrysler Pacifica ALERT !

Do any of you guys get the cockpit feeling on the highway, with the turbo whistlin and the guages and the exhaust note... ?

A little bit. Although my reg cab is more spacious than the front seats of the Cessna 172s I fly :) And a ton more than the 152s.

Very true. The 152s and the 172s are very tight. However, don't know about you guys but when I park the truck I find myself running down the pre and post shutdown check lists. Wife says that my flying has gone to far . But I tell her that it works cause I always make sure that everything is off and the brakes are set before stopping the engine. That way there isn't extra elec. loads on the batteries before start-up:). By the way, I am looking for a decent used 172.

The picture above is of our company's King Air 350. It's a test platform for the avionics products we build. I don't fly it, but am involved in modifications to the airplane and FAA certification of our products. http://www.uasc.com

The tightest cockpit of any small airplane I've worked on has to be the Mooney. You don't sit in it, you wear it.

I tell my wife while I am driving down the road NOT to touch any of the AC or RADIO controls. They are for the pilot only. She is the navigator and that is it.

Yeah, when I started flying my first flight was in a 152. Instructor said it's the "only airplane you put on. "

I figured it was a Beech (Raytheon) and had an idea it was a King Air but wasn't sure.

I dont get that feeling like I do in a Cessna... but I did feel like I was working on a 6. 0PSD today when I was helping the crop duster replace his radial engine in the agcat. Tons of nuts, bolts, blowers, gear reducers etc. All hanging from a crane and direct from Poland. The engine is a remake of the DC3 radial design.

We've got a Cessna 140 at work. Try that on for size. Its like the Mazda Miata of Cessnas. The 172 feels like a Caddy in comparison.
