COD Shipping

Hi All,



I have an ad in the classifieds, and received a request to ship to Alaska COD. The guy's name is Scott J. Miller and I don't know him from Adam. I don't know if he's a TDR member. How do I insure when this shipment gets there that he'll pay for it. I've never done a COD shipment before. Any input would be appreciated.

The carrier, whoever that is, will not deliver the item until the person receiving it gives him a check, or cash, they may accept a credit card. You may be able to ask for a cashiers check only. There is usually a COD fee charged by the carrier for handling the transaction and this is usually paid by the person receiving the item. To be sure of everthing, talk to the carrier.

So what happens if the receiver refuses the shippment?

The package comes back and you get nailed with the postage one way.

Hence my reluctance. OK it's pay first, then the wheels ship.
