I noticed it was running rough today. If you slowly depress the throttle while in neutral, as the RPMs increase you can feel a roughness in the engine. Also noticed code 0216, fuel inj pump timing failure. Fuel pressure is always 14-20psi, I have a pusher pump. Is it time for a new inj pump?:{ Also if you hold it at say 2200 and then mash it it sometimes stumbles a bit. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Am I just lucky or is the Comp to blame. Fuel pressure has never been low. Also how much time do I have, Doc? And where do I get a gear puller, if I need one? Didn't someone post some directions for a VP R&R awhile back?

could be either one just had mine replaced last week I would see 19psi idle 15 cruise 9WOT truck would act goofy at times kindof like you were turning comp off while you were hard on the gas or you hit the gas and it just sits there like deer in the headlights lucky friend is dodge mech and slid in under warranty

It is also my understanding, that a good number of Vp44 failures are due to overheated electronics, and are not mechanical in nature. Electronic failures, will happen regardless of Fuel pressure. My next question is do you have a wire tap or a Blue Chip cover?

If you have to replace it yourself you can use a steering wheel puller or a bar type puller using 8mmX1. 25 bolts (I think) feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about bolt size. Snap on makes a handy little tool just for this job.

Oh I'll be the only hands under my trucks hood. It can't be that hard, the mechanics at the dodge place can do it sometimes!
