Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Code 0234

Anyone know what code ECU 0234 means? My truck started showing it Sunday.

I think that is a over boost code. Meaning you went over what your wategate is suppost to open up at. I thank it is around 22 psi. My truck had this for a while due to me having a reduced wategate elbow. I could hit 30 with it if I tried. I Put the stock one back in and drove it for a while and the Code wen't away. I have the rdeuced one back in now and Just take It easy and the code has not come back.

I also read some where that if your truck sets this code it could cause it to defuel at higher boost.

Thanks. I was running at 24psi with the "J" hook on the wastegate. Still there however after i removed the hook.

My service rep says that they have been replacing them so i guess it will go in tomorrow.
