Code 0382

A friend is looking to purchase a 99 qc, at w/130,000 miles. I checked it over, put the scanner on it and Code 0382 showed up twice.



Just not sure what needs fixed. Thoughts?



Any other problems on the 99's.

I think your friend wrote down the wrong code. That is a gasser error code (we do not have an electronic ignition system), or am I jus presuming that he is looking at a CTD truck?

Problem detected in #2 air heater solenoid/relay circuit

(not heater element)

Its OK

There are two intake heater circuits. One of them is either unhooked or not working. The realys for them are just below the left side battery, two big relays. I unhook my in the summer so they don't cycle.

Where can I get the relays or relay presuming thats the problem? Which one is he #2 relay?

Put a test light to them and see which one don't work. Probably get one from the dealer.

AFAIK they're only available as a set (both relays) about $70 or so from the Dodge dealer. Easy change out also.
