1693 is what is called a companion code which tells you that a trouble code is present in the computer. It should be followed by the actual trouble code.

Does anyone know what this means? DTC code set? What is this?

That code is telling you to check the companion module for the real code that is affecting the vehicle. In your truck the ecm and the pcm share some sensors and work together somewhat. You need a scanner that will check all codes.

Ok, I checked again and found 0177 water in fuel however as I understand it the water in fuel sensor is in the factory fuel filter housing and I no longer have one since my fass is direct to the vp is there anything else that could trigger this?

Is your stock filter housing still mounted & plugged in? If not you may just have corrosion in the plug that went to the sensor.

Ok tomorrow I will clean it up and find some way to cover it up since there is no where to hook it up to.

thanks
