Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) code meaning?

I have been getting " no comunication between ecm and injection pump" code everyonce in awhile. the truck starts and runs fine except when it is below 45 it fires right up and goes to 1500 rpm instantly for a split second,which i think has to do with the hrvp. anybody know of anything to look for?If a plug was loose it should not run right?

Does anybody else with a hrvp have a high idle like mine when started?

Greg - might not be much help but, try contacting whomever you got the hrvp from to see if they can help. I've never heard of that code before? I agree that if it was a loose connection you'd think the truck wouldn't start, let alone run, interesting?

I did call scheid and they said check the plug connection, It does not even hesitate starting,as a matter of fact with the hr pump i dont even think it makes one rev before it fires.

It might not be your pump(or maybe a combination). I get these codes also when I install the Smarty. The codes do go away after removing the Smarty and 40 or 50 starts.
